Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief performs an initial check for scope, originality and formatting compliance. Papers not meeting basic criteria are returned without review.
Assignment to Associate Editor
The manuscript is assigned to an Associate Editor with expertise in the relevant area, who selects at least two independent referees.
